June is here!

It is hard to believe that June is already here. Students have begun preparing for final units of study and exams. ELA and FLA part A has been complete for grades 6 and 9. The remainder of the Provincial Achievement Tests will occur later in June.

June 22 - Grade 6 Social Studies
June 23 - Grade 6 Science and Grade 9 FLA part B
June 26 -  Grade 9 Social Studies
June 27 - Grade 9 ELA part B
June 28 - Grade 9 Math
June 29 - Grade 9 Science

June is also the time to complete final assessment and planning for Learner Support Plans (LSP). If your child is currently supported by a LSP, their homeroom teacher will be contacting you to review the goals and transition plans for next year. Please make sure to come in and meet with your child's teacher as these plans are integral in supporting student success.

What is going on this month?

High School Registration
February is a busy time for our grade nine students as they prepare for high school registration. As a diverse learning teacher I am working with students to ensure a smooth transition to high school. 

Progress Reports
Teachers and students are working to complete assignments and assessments for the next progress reports. Now is a great time to reinforce work and study habits for students as their hard work will be recognized!

Welcome back to school. I hope that everyone had a peaceful and restful break! Staff and students at St. Michael School have returned refreshed and ready to learn. Please join us for our Epiphany Celebration - Thursday, January 12th

January and February will be busy times for students and teachers as they delve into curriculum and learning experiences with renewed energy.
